Summer 2014 Vacations

Last summer, I traveled to Talcahuano by bus to visit my grandmother and my family. My whole family lived in big Concepcion, even my brothers borned there, but I was bron in Santiago. My parents are divorced and I live with my mom, that is one reason why I have lost contact with my father's family. So when I travel I visit my grandmother and cousins for the part of my mother. I was there for like a week, I stayed five days with my grandmother, one day with a cousin that is also a friend of mine, and the other day I spent it with my uncle. When I was at grandmother we shared together, we walked through the city during the day, and in the nights we saw the news on the TV and play cards. She is very funny and we really get along. The thing that I like the most when I go ther is to visit the port, swinming in the ocean, walk on the beach, but almost all the time it is too cold to swim, because chilean coasts are pretty freezing.

Why anthropology?

Well in the first place I must confess that I choosed study anthropology because my brother everytime told me about this carreer. He studied laws in the University La República and after the bankruptcy of this Universitiy his finished the career in University La Central, but the area and courses of social anthropology were the most intersting according to him. My brother told me about the indian studies and the importance of the multiculturalism, together with the filosofic bases of this discipline.

When I started to find more information about the social anthropology in the school, I compared this option with others careers such as laws or history, but finally I decided for the reason of that I wanted understand the various forms of relationship of the people on different contexts, even in our society, not only in the indigenous society. I think that with this and the understand of why operates the culture could be a factor for progress towards a better society. On the other hand I saw that laws and history have a vision more superficial of the humans proccess and their focus in the description and memorise instead of the understanding.

Country I’d like to visit

The country that I would like to go to is Myanmar (ex Birmania) in the Asian continent, mainly because I know that there a very beautiful architecture. In the pictures that I have seen about the most amazing places in the earth there were the buddhist temples that they are located on the hearth of the forest. I was really fascinated with a image of many old structures with a big circular figures that end in tips surrounded of trees while rise smoke for the wet.

Really I want to visit this place but only as a tourist because I don’t speak there language and the alphabet writing is too different to the indo-european origin. This country is very unknow for the occidental world, they had a dictatorship for many years until recently and yet has human right problemas. All this makes that I'm fear to go, but nevertheless the images are really fascinating for my. If i had money I will visit Myanmar and would contract an traductor or an tour guide.  

My experience with english and in this course

This semester I have taken the third course of english of my career and in this context I created this blog. In the first, I believe that this course was gonna be so bored because the anterior semester I made the previous level of english and I can say that was a torture. In any case, an explication can be that we were finish the strike and all teachers had flexibility with the presence except the teacher of english. In this conditions english was the course that I more hated, but I think that the course was objectively monotone, although the teacher is a good person and concerned that we learned.


I have always hated learn english, always I think that is difficult and always I have had bad grades in this. Really I never have found the meaning or the motivation for learn english and I think that is always bored.


I will not say that with this course I found the meaning of study english, but I can say that has been an of the best, good teacher and classmates. I must admit that sometimes I was bored but the teacher have methods very recreational and funny for teach, but also have parts in when we had to read texts and answer the questions.This last is bored and classic in the english courses but maybe is good for learn. I also appreciate the homework of make a blogspot because is a dynamic form for practice english.

Facebook

I can say that facebook is my favourite website. I spend a lot of time in this website, because have too much options and applications. When I was more child, spendt near all of my free time in msn, where I talked with my classmates and friends. But with facebook I can talk more fast with my friends, I can find people that I couldn't see for much time, old friends, or know new people. Also one can share important information, for example academic or of protests, I have fast access of the activities or conversations of my friends, can see pictures and comment this. Even you can have talk with more than one person at time.

But not all in facebook is good, regularly I spend more time that I should. The hours pass and pass and some time I can't stop to talk with some people or I see the wall and the profile of other people when I'm bored and never start my obligations. For other hand, one lost too much privacy and the all friends can see with who you are talk or do it regularly. In the worst case you can neglect and some person can into in your facebook and see your's conversation and intimacy.

My family and his story

Now I will tell you some things about my family. My mother and my father were born in Concepcion, and my brothers were born in Chiguayante, and in this place was the first house of my family. While my father was studying risk prevention in the University, my mother was renting a warehouse where she sold eggs for pay the study of my father and maintain the family.

After, when my father finished her studies, they arrived to live to Santiago, and how they non know the city and had heard that was very danger, they decided renting an apartment in Las Condes and sold the house of Chiguayante. In this place I was born and live to the four years, so that I don't remember this, for later buy a house in La Reina. In this house we follow live, but we not yet finished to pay this.

With the time, when I was seven years old my father left the house but we have continued watching it and he continued bringing money for our expenses, but my mother had fear that my father would stop to give money and for this reason she studied hairdresser. Now she is a housewife and an independent hairdresser, wich gives more money for her personal expenses.

My eldest brother have a apartment and my other brother finished to study law.

My favourite movie: ''El dia de la bestia''

This was filmed in nineteen ninety five and his director is the spanish Alex de la Iglesia. The story es very funny but have too much suspense and drama, and in his near of two hours of duration, achieve get the attention of the people.

The story begin with the principal character that is a priest and with a lot of suspense and even I believed that was a terror film. After, start to appear funny situations and characters, but inside of a important mision that is prevent the born of Satanas in the night of chrismas. The priest is an intellectual of the holy scriptures and deciphered that this night would begin the apocalypse and convinced some people for help to prevent this, with very evidence, arguments and with paranormal situations. Even in one moment of the movie appear a black goat in a ritual that could walk in two legs and threat the equip of the priest.

Finally in the place and time of the Satanas birth, they have a fight with the black goat, and the only survivor are the priest and one friend of him, who kill Satanas with a revolver. Later, the black goat was a fascist businessman with a good family and had respect for the society, but in secret he beat and killed poor people. In the end, the movie was a metaphor and a social critical.
